IRCC Cares @ Cashew in Conjunction with Pongal Celebration

In the spirit of Pongal celebration – a festival of harvest & sharing, Cashew IRCC will be organising “IRCC Cares @ Cashew cum Pongal Celebration” with one of its religious organisations, Sri Murugan Hill Temple, and supported by Al-Iman Mosque, Bukit Panjang Methodist Church and St Joseph’s Church (Bukit Timah), on Saturday, 31 January 2015, 10.30 am to 2 pm.

The event, which will be held at Sri Murugan Hill Temple, aims to increase the inter-faith understanding behind the Pongal festival. There will be a mini carnival with interactive stations such as henna painting, preparation of sweet rice, Rangoli making, discovering differences & similarities between North and South Indian Food, to explain to the participants about the religious and cultural significance of the festival.

Beneficiaries from Al-Iman Mosque, Bukit Panjang Methodist Church, ComCare, Sri Murugan Hill Temple and St Joseph’s Church will also receive NTUC vouchers from the organisers in the spirit of IRCC Cares.
