More than 200 Pioneer Generation (PG) religious and community leaders were honoured at a tribute event organised by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY). These are these leaders who had been active in promoting racial and religious harmony in the years since Singapore’s independence. This would include those from the first batch of Chairmen of the Inter-Racial and Religious Confidence Circles (IRCCs), and past and present members from the National Steering Committee on Racial and Religious Harmony. They have been unwavering in their commitment and contributions towards Singapore’s nation-building efforts in the last 50 years.
