Introduction of IRCC Website, Inaugural IRCC Family Day and IRCC@Heartlands Roadshow

Introduction of www.ircc.sg

  • As part of IRCC’s effort to leverage and capitalise on the technology to engage the community, the IRCC Website was launched on 6 March 2010 at the National IRCC Workshop by Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports. The IRCC Website seeks to provide information on IRCC milestones, share events/programmes promoting racial/religious harmony and platform in collating feedback pertaining to the IRCCs.

Inaugural IRCC Family Day

  • The inaugural IRCC Family Day was held on 6 February 2010 to appreciate the hard work of the IRCC volunteers and for the support of their families.  The event brought together spouses, children and parents of the larger IRCC family, including leaders and representatives from different religious and community organisations for a day of fun and bonding.

Launch of IRCC@Heartlands Roadshow

  • The first IRCC@Heartlands Roadshow was launched on the 4 December 2010, themed "Different Races, Many Beliefs, One Nation" by Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, to promote and celebrate racial and religious harmony in the neighbourhoods.

  • "IRCC @ Heartlands" is a unique platform where various faiths were introduced to residents through exhibition booths, interactive games and stage performances. The Roadshow held on 4 Dec attracted more than 2,500 people and underscored our effort to consistently strengthen communal relations within the community.
